Fall Sketching
I’m now in the movie business!
I started doing production art professionally for a company that works on feature films.
The commute is long, however that leaves some time open to still sketch in the mornings and evenings.
I also included a sketch from Dr. Sketchy Toronto -- a wacky lifedrawing session in the back of a bar. There's costumed models, themes, and prizes. I won a very odd trophy for my efforts that night, however I gave my best (winning) drawing to the model at the end of the session.

The Return
School Starts in…. Hey wait..
I’ll be moving back within an arms reach of Toronto and directly across the street from Sheridan. This will be the closest to the school I’ve ever lived, however I’ve graduated and no longer attend classes there.
I’m excited because I’ll be returning to an apartment with other art students. My production is about to go way up. Those sketches spilled all over the floor a couple posts ago are just the beginning.
I also have a crazy plan of how to attend the Illustration Master Class next summer. More on that later.
Here's some pieces that I've been working on:
Linnansa Vanki - Indica
Illustration depicting the members of the Finnish band; Indica.
Indica is fronted by Jonsu on vocals and violin...
--and an illustration of Kenny Vs. Spenny with initial sketch

August is also drawing month
*continues to draw*
-- I think this is the point where a typical blog-writer enters the line "sorry for the lack of updates, everyone, but I was --."
How's this?
Graphite taking my formerly massive pad of visual bond paper to dinner.

Grad April 2008
And…………….. We’re done.
Sheridan Illustration program completed and now I’m on to new adventures.
I’m thinking I’m definitely going to miss it. Towards the end it became the thing I had imagined art school to be long before I ever went there.
– Life-drawing and then painting long into the night with close friends, buying pizza at 2:00am right before the plaza across the street closed completely, working in the studio for as long as we could and then returning home to sleep as the sun crept up (usually surprised by the glowing sphere on the horizon) This was followed by returning to school for class just after noon and then repeating the spectacle from the night before.

Show in Toronto
The show at the Burroughs building in Toronto just finished Friday evening.
Here's a picture I took of my displayed work right before we had to take everything down.
The grad book designed by Rethink and some really talented illustration students students:
Rebus cover can be peeled off and separated into individual magnets. There's a metal plate inside the cover so the magnets are able to stick.

The Flight of the Conchords
Over Christmas I was given the DVD’s for the television series; Flight of the Conchords. They’re quite possibly the funniest series/songs that I’ve watched in a long time.
It was a lot of fun to try my hand at drawing them.
Portraits of Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie of the New Zealand band Flight of the Conchords.
